BabylonTranslate

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to translation and related document services purchased from Babylon Linguist Solutions, LLC, doing business as BabylonTranslate. Because our services are customized and work may begin shortly after an order is placed, refund eligibility depends on the status of the work and any third-party costs already incurred.

2. Cancellation before work begins

Contact us promptly if you need to cancel an order. When translation work has not begun and no third-party service, government filing, notarization, apostille process, shipping service, or other non-recoverable cost has been initiated, we may cancel the order and refund the amount paid.

3. Cancellation after work begins

Once translation, review, formatting, certification, project management, or other customized work has begun, a full refund is generally not available. If only part of the ordered work has been performed, we may issue a partial refund based on the unperformed portion of the service, after deducting work already completed and non-recoverable costs.

4. Completed translation services

Completed customized translation work is generally non-refundable. If you believe a delivered translation contains a translation-related error attributable to BabylonTranslate, contact us promptly with the order number and a clear description of the issue. Our primary remedy is to review and, where appropriate, correct the translation or certification.

5. Receiving-institution decisions

A refund is not automatically due because a government agency, court, school, credential evaluator, licensing body, employer, bank, foreign authority, or other third party declines, delays, questions, or rejects a document for reasons unrelated to an error in the translation service we provided. Customers are responsible for confirming institution-specific requirements before ordering when special requirements apply.

6. USCIS translation acceptance guarantee

If USCIS rejects a translation covered by our USCIS translation acceptance guarantee for a translation-related reason, send us your order number and the USCIS notice. After review, we will correct the translation or refund the translation fee. This guarantee applies only to the translation service and does not guarantee approval of an immigration petition, application, benefit, status, or filing.

7. Expedited service

Expedited or priority fees compensate for prioritization and accelerated workflow. Once expedited handling has begun, the expedited fee may be non-refundable even if the underlying order is later cancelled. An estimated or stated turnaround is not a guarantee against delays caused by missing information, unreadable documents, customer-requested changes, payment issues, third parties, government processing, courier delays, events outside our reasonable control, or other circumstances described in our Terms of Service.

8. Notarization and apostille services

Notarization, e-Apostille, physical apostille, government filing, courier, and similar charges may become non-refundable once the applicable service has been initiated or the cost has been incurred. We cannot refund government, notary, courier, or other third-party charges that are not recoverable by us.

Apostille services authenticate documents according to the service ordered; they do not guarantee that a foreign authority, school, employer, court, embassy, consulate, or other recipient will accept a particular document, electronic apostille, or document format.

9. Physical copies and shipping

Printing, handling, courier, postage, and shipping charges may be non-refundable after fulfillment or shipment has begun. BabylonTranslate is not responsible for carrier delays, customs delays, incorrect customer-provided addresses, or loss after confirmed delivery, except to the extent otherwise required by law.

10. Duplicate or incorrect charges

If you believe you were charged more than once for the same transaction or that a payment amount was processed incorrectly, contact us promptly. We will review the payment records and correct confirmed billing errors.

11. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback when possible so that we can investigate and resolve a legitimate service or billing issue. We may provide order records, delivery records, customer communications, service selections, and other relevant transaction information to a payment provider or financial institution when responding to a payment dispute.

12. Requesting a cancellation, correction, or refund review

Submit your request through our contact page or email support@babylontranslate.com. Include your order number and enough information for us to identify the transaction and review the request.

13. Relationship to the Terms of Service

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. If a refund is required by applicable law notwithstanding this policy, the applicable legal requirement will control.
