Terms of Service

Babylon Linguist Solutions, LLC d/b/a BabylonTranslate · Last updated September 24, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of BabylonTranslate and the translation and related document services provided by Babylon Linguist Solutions, LLC ("BabylonTranslate," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting an order, accepting a quote, making a payment, or using a paid service, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them.

2. Services

BabylonTranslate provides professional translation and related document services, which may include certified translation, business translation, notarization, apostille services, physical certified copies, shipping, and other services offered at checkout or in an approved quote.

Service availability, pricing, turnaround, and deliverables depend on the document, language pair, service type, selected options, destination, and any requirements communicated before work begins.

3. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for submitting complete and legible source documents, providing accurate contact and order information, selecting the appropriate service, and informing us of any special requirement imposed by the intended recipient.

You are also responsible for providing the preferred spelling of names, places, identification numbers, or other terms when a particular spelling or transliteration must be used. If no preferred spelling is provided, we may use a reasonable professional transliteration or the spelling shown in supporting documentation available to us.

4. Source documents and authenticity

BabylonTranslate translates the material submitted by the customer. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, we do not authenticate the underlying source document, verify the truth of its contents, determine whether it was lawfully issued, or certify that the person submitting it is entitled to use it.

You represent that you have the lawful authority to provide documents and information submitted to us and to request the services ordered.

5. Pricing and billable quantity

Pricing shown at checkout or in an approved quote is based on the applicable service rules, document characteristics, selected options, and quantity. Certified translation is generally priced according to the billable-page rules shown during ordering, while business translation may be priced by word count or another quoted basis.

Automated page counts, OCR, extracted text, or other preliminary analysis may be reviewed or corrected if the submitted file does not accurately reflect the quantity, readability, or content represented by the automated result.

6. Quotes and order changes

A quote is based on the materials and information available when it is issued. A quote may be revised if the customer changes the scope, submits different or additional documents, requests different services, or if a material document characteristic was not reasonably apparent during the initial review.

Customer-requested changes after work begins may affect pricing and turnaround.

7. Payment

Payment is due as stated at checkout or in the applicable payment request. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal. BabylonTranslate does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

We may delay or suspend work or delivery while a payment is pending, reversed, disputed, unauthorized, or otherwise unresolved.

8. Turnaround and expedited service

Turnaround estimates begin after we have received the required documents, information, selections, and payment necessary to begin the service. Complex, handwritten, low-quality, unusually large, or manually reviewed documents may require additional time.

Expedited or priority service means that an order receives accelerated handling relative to standard processing where offered. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees. Delays caused by customer response time, third parties, government agencies, couriers, technical outages, emergencies, or circumstances outside our reasonable control do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

9. Translation accuracy and corrections

We aim to provide an accurate professional translation of the source material submitted. If you believe a delivered translation contains a translation-related error attributable to BabylonTranslate, notify us with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We will review the concern and, when appropriate, correct or re-certify the translation.

A correction does not include a customer preference that was not communicated before translation, a later change to the source document, or a recipient's independent formatting or wording preference unless we agree to make that change.

10. Certified translations

A certified translation is a translation accompanied by a certification statement from BabylonTranslate. Certification concerns the translation service; it does not authenticate the underlying source document, establish the legal validity of the source document, provide legal advice, or guarantee the outcome of any filing, application, lawsuit, credential evaluation, licensing matter, or other proceeding.

11. USCIS translation acceptance guarantee

For translations covered by our USCIS translation acceptance guarantee, if USCIS rejects our translation for a translation-related reason, we will review the USCIS notice and correct the translation or refund the translation fee. This guarantee does not guarantee approval of an immigration petition, application, benefit, status, or filing and does not cover rejection for reasons unrelated to the translation service.

12. Receiving-institution requirements

Requirements differ among government agencies, courts, schools, universities, credential evaluators, licensing bodies, employers, banks, embassies, consulates, foreign authorities, and other recipients. Customers are responsible for confirming special recipient requirements before ordering when those requirements are known or available.

Unless BabylonTranslate expressly agrees in writing to satisfy a particular recipient-specific requirement, we do not guarantee that a third party will accept a translation, certification, notarization, electronic apostille, physical apostille, or other document format.

13. Notarization and apostille services

Notarization and apostille services are provided only as described in the applicable order or quote. Government agencies, notaries, couriers, and other third parties may control portions of the process and their processing times are outside our direct control.

An apostille authenticates a qualifying public document for purposes of the applicable apostille process; it does not determine how a receiving authority will evaluate the underlying document, translation, or transaction. Customers are responsible for confirming whether the destination accepts the selected apostille type, including an electronic apostille where applicable.

14. Physical copies and shipping

When physical delivery is ordered, you are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Delivery estimates are subject to carrier operations, customs, weather, and other conditions outside our control. Risk associated with carrier delay or loss may be subject to the carrier's rules and any applicable law.

15. Automated analysis and website estimates

Website tools may use automated document analysis, OCR, parsing, or other technology to estimate page count, word count, language, or pricing. These tools are intended to assist ordering and are not infallible. We may review and correct a result when the automated output is materially inconsistent with the submitted document or the applicable pricing rules.

16. Refunds and cancellations

Refund and cancellation requests are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Customized work already performed and third-party services or charges already initiated may be non-refundable.

17. Chargebacks, fraud, and misuse

You agree not to knowingly initiate an improper payment dispute for services that were authorized and provided as ordered. We may preserve and provide relevant transaction, delivery, and communication records to payment processors or financial institutions when responding to a chargeback or fraud investigation.

We may refuse, suspend, or cancel service where we reasonably believe an order involves fraud, unlawful activity, abusive conduct, security risk, unauthorized payment, or misuse of our systems.

18. Third-party services

Certain services depend on third-party providers, including payment processors, hosting providers, email providers, notaries, government offices, shipping carriers, and other operational vendors. We are not responsible for a third party's independent acts, omissions, outages, processing decisions, or delays, except to the extent required by applicable law.

19. Privacy and document retention

Customer information and documents are handled according to our Privacy Policy, including our document-retention and security practices.

20. Disclaimer of certain warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, services are provided on the basis described in the applicable order or quote. We do not warrant or guarantee a particular governmental, legal, academic, immigration, credentialing, licensing, employment, commercial, or other third-party outcome.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BabylonTranslate and Babylon Linguist Solutions, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, business opportunity, filing fees, travel costs, immigration benefits, academic opportunities, employment opportunities, or other downstream losses arising from or related to an order.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount actually paid to BabylonTranslate for that order. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

22. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, war, civil disturbance, governmental action, internet or infrastructure outage, cyberattack, labor disruption, courier interruption, payment-network failure, or similar events.

23. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

24. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top identifies the latest published version. Changes apply prospectively to use of the service after publication unless applicable law requires otherwise.

25. Contact

Questions about an order, these Terms, or a service requirement may be submitted through our contact page or by email at support@babylontranslate.com.
