Foreign-language documents submitted to USCIS must be accompanied by a full English translation with the translator’s certification of completeness, accuracy, and competence. See 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3).
Is the Certificate of Translation Accuracy included?
Yes. It is included with every certified translation at no additional charge.
Does USCIS require notarization?
Notarization is not part of the standard translation requirement in 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). It is available as an optional add-on when another receiving authority requires it.
How much does a USCIS translation cost?
Certified translation starts at $25 per billable page. One billable page is up to 250 words, subject to our standard page-count rules. Your total is shown before payment.
Do you translate stamps, seals, and handwritten notes?
Yes. Legible text in stamps, seals, headings, and annotations is included. Unreadable text is identified rather than guessed.
How long does translation take?
Turnaround depends on language, document length, and complexity. Expedited service is available for eligible orders at an additional 50% of the translation price.
Do I need to mail my original document?
Usually no. A clear scan or photograph is normally sufficient for us to prepare the translation. Include every page and any text on the reverse.
