APOSTILLED TRANSLATION MADE SIMPLE

What’s Included in Your
Apostilled Translation

We prepare the certified translation, its signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy, the required notarization, and the selected apostille process as one coordinated package.

One important distinction

Our apostille service applies to the notarized certification attached to your translation. An apostille on the original source document, when required, is a separate process.

Apostille translation FAQ

Clear answers
before you order.

Confirm the destination and receiving authority’s requirements before selecting apostille service.

For official Convention information, see the HCCH Apostille Section.

What is an apostille?

An apostille is a standardized certificate used to authenticate qualifying public documents for use in another country where the Hague Apostille Convention applies. It concerns the relevant official or notarial signature, the signer’s capacity, and the seal or stamp where applicable.

Does an apostille certify that the translation is accurate?

No. The translator or translation service certifies the translation’s accuracy and completeness. An apostille authenticates the relevant public or notarial signature, capacity, or seal. It does not mean that a government authority has reviewed and approved the translated wording.

Is apostille the same as notarization?

No. Notarization is a notarial act involving a signer, signature, or record. Apostille is a separate authentication by a competent authority for qualifying international use. Neither replaces the translator’s certification of accuracy.

Do I need notarization before an apostille?

Yes. Both E-Apostille and Physical Apostille require notarization of the Certificate of Translation Accuracy. Notarization is +$20 once per translation order. It remains an optional add-on when ordering a certified translation without apostille, depending on the receiving organization’s requirements.

Can I order only an apostille from BabylonTranslate?

No. Our apostille services are currently available only as add-ons to BabylonTranslate translation orders. We do not currently offer standalone apostille processing.

How much is an e-apostille?

Kentucky E-Apostille is +$75 per translation order, in addition to translation and the required +$20 notarization. One billable page at $25, notarization, and Kentucky E-Apostille total $120 before other selected services.

How much is a physical apostille?

Colorado Physical Apostille is +$180 per selected document as an add-on to a translation order. Translation and the required +$20 notarization are additional, along with any other selected services.

How long does apostille processing take?

Timing varies with document eligibility, the required authentication route, government processing, and physical delivery where applicable. These steps are separate from translation turnaround. Share your deadline before ordering so the applicable timing can be discussed.

Should I check with the receiving authority first?

Yes. Confirm the required language, certification, notarization, apostille, and physical-document format. Share the destination country and the receiving authority’s written requirements with your apostille request so you can select only the services you need.
